  This is an occasional roll, listing those present at the battle of Falkirk, which was fought on 22 July 1298, when the forces of Edward I defeated a Scottish army under William Wallace. It is accepted that the roll was composed shortly afterwards.

  The original blazon is in the Anglo-Norman dialect, from a copy of the roll made by Robert Glover, c1585.

• The Caerlaverock Poem

  
  

  This is an occasional roll, listing those present at the siege of Caerlaverock, Dumfries, in July 1300, by the forces of Edward I. It was written at or about this time. The poem is in the form of rhyming couplets, 956 lines in length and containing 106 coats.

  Because the description is in verse, the language is not that of blazon, nor is it always heraldically accurate.
